Rockers Review:)

1. How does the main character, Leroy "Horsemouth" Wallace, compare to the other main characters (Ivan Martin and Derrick Thompson) in the first two films we saw?

I think that at the beginning of the three movies, or al least for me, I considered the main characters as heroes, with different goals of course, but as the movies continued, their stories started mutating and developing in something else. Horsemouth and Derrick had, if you could say, an honorable story, worthy and tru to follow heroes, while Ivan, even though he had good intentions at first, he ended being a hated role. Derrick and Horsemouth both were chased but for unfair reasons (chasing their dreams or to protect his comunnity), meanwhile Ivan got greedy after he got famous.

2. Did you like or dislike the film? Why/Why Not?

Although I lost track many times while watching the movie, I undesrtand why you showed it to us (also reading the article). When we hear the word "reggae" the first thing that comes to our minds is Bob Marley, but it so much more than that. At first I took this course because it was an extended English course, but I really aprecciate all the things that I learned about jamaican culture, history, political issues, and also music, beause it's part of their identity. I like how this movie and the other two showed us how jamaican people live and get through life.

3. In conclusion to our Jamaican film unit, which was your favorite film of all 3? Why?

I had a difficult time trying to pay attention all in the three movies, Instagram was my faithful partner during this entire time haha. But talking seriously, all the movies had a great message and many rescuable histories an values, asides from all the history and cultural vision from Jamaica, but i have to say that my favorite, or the one that I payed attention the most was Ghett'a Life. I don't know why but I have a thing with movies that includes gangs, boxing, and a love story behind :B
Also, it was the movie with the most loving characters (al least to me).
